Helping Ukrainian-speaking learners discover Dutch through stories, vocabulary and writing practice.
More and more Dutch schools are creating space in their libraries for books in the native languages of their multilingual pupils. The series of workbooks “I read in Dutch” help Ukrainian-speaking children to learn Dutch step by step, while drawing support from their own language. At the same time, they provide Dutch-speaking supervisors with practical tools to better guide and support these children’s reading and learning process.
The method used in the workbook combines systematic approach for language learning and extensive use of fine motor skills (writing) for better understanding, memorizing and new material assimilation.
